,The post holder will workwithin the Learning Disability Care Hub of Pennine Care's Specialist Services Divisionin partnership with people with learning disabilities, their families and service providers to achieve positive health outcomes for people with learning disabilities who are registered with a GP in Oldham. The postholder will be an integral member of the Oldham multidisciplinary team, providing clinical nursing expertise to service users referred to the team. The post holder will be responsible for the management of a defined caseload and for providing supervision to learning disability nurses working in the Team.

The post holder will provide specialist health and behaviour assessments to individuals referred to the learning disability team. There will be a requirement to liaise with partners and stakeholders to ensure responsive, effective, safe and person centred services are delivered. The role will involve supporting service development across the Learning Disability Care Hub and the supervision and management of staff.

Main duties of the job

To provide a safe, responsive, efficient, timely, high quality community nursing service to people with learning disabilities their families and carers To undertake a range of comprehensive assessments to individuals with highly complex and challenging needs. This assessment work requires a highly specialist knowledge base on which to practice

To provide clinical leadership and supervision to other nursing colleagues

To provide clinical supervision and line management to others. This will include dealing with disciplinary, grievance matters and recruitment.

To deputise for the Clinical Team Manager when required

    • Additional post registered degree in health related topic (eg, Behaviour Analysis, Epilepsy or Forensic Studies)
    • Masters level training in health related topic or equivalent experience to masters level.
