This vacancy includes an attractive welcome bonus of £3000 and a further £2000 after the 1st year and a further £2000 after the 2nd year as well as an attractive relocation package of up to £8000 (*subject to terms and conditions)

It's an exciting time to join us at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for Band 5 Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses to join us in our inpatient services.

There are 4 mental health units across the Bay situated in Lancaster, Kendal and Barrow, offering high quality specialist care to both adults and older adults.

We are looking for caring, empathetic, enthusiastic individuals who have a passion to improve the lives of our patients. These roles will be to provide care and support to patients who require mental health interventions, guidance or monitoring.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification.(RNMH & RNLD)
  • On-going registration with the NMC
Knowledge Essential
  • Can demonstrate an understanding and knowledge base of mental health conditions and their treatments.
  • Can demonstrate a working knowledge of physical health conditions and the complications that this can cause to patients experiencing mental ill health
Experience Essential
  • Post Graduate experience
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team structure.
  • Experience of assessing, planning, implementing and reviewing care needs.
