Alongside seeking experienced staff to join our new team, we will welcome applications from newly qualified nurses or OTs seeking a developmental opportunity at Band 5 with support to progress to Band 6 in the future.

You will be based in a newly refurbished office within Wantage Community Hospital, which is within short walking distance of the town centre.

Main duties of the job

This vacancy is for our Treatment Team, which means you will predominantly be working with people under CPA as their Care Coordinator, and playing a crucial role as part of an multi-disciplinary team in that person's recovery.

As a team we are aiming to provide an excellent service for our local community, and are seeking candidates who share our passion.

You will need to be able to work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support. You will have experience with the CPA process and able to assess and plan treatment with service users. You will also be able to critically assess and manage risk, including the use of Safeguarding processes.

In terms of hours we would prefer 30 to 37.5 hours per week with some weekend working- we welcome flexible working so please call us to discuss how we may be able to accommodate other working patterns. You will not be required to work night shifts.

Person Specification Education and Training Essential

• Professional Qualification (Degree or equivalent)
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio
• Professional Registration

Desirable

• Post graduate education specifically relating to client group (Post basic qualification in community care/ research awareness/ management)

Occupational Experience Essential

• To have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
• To have highly extensive experience which should include community and working with mental health
• To have a good knowledge and interest in community care and have specific clinical expertise in mental health

Skills required - IT / Admin Essential

• To be IT literate
• To have excellent English written communication skills
