The Families Come First service are seeking to recruit (for an initial 12 month) a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to work within this newly developing Service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead and work with other members of the multi-disciplinary Team and with colleagues from other services, providing expertise in the care of children and young people with mental health needs and their families.
The post holder will be expected to offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Families Come First is a service provided by Dudley Local Authority and aims to provide support plans for parents and carers as well as children. Families Come First is a Child in Need service within Dudley Council providing support to children up to the age of 17, alongside their parents and/or carers.
The service aimsto keep families together, to repair or improve relationships at home and in the community, to connect families to their local communities, and to build upon each family's existing strengths.

To provide expert advice, support and supervision on a regular basis to a wide ranging workforce on all aspects of safeguarding children where matters can be highly complex and in difficult, sensitive and emotive situations.
To provide professional expertise in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for children and young people within the Families Come first service.
To provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
To provide professional leadership and line management supervision to other team members.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications Essential
- oProfessional qualification in mental health related subject e.g. Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Psychotherapist or equivalent
- oDegree/equivalent experience in CAMH related field
- oEvidence of continuous professional development in mental health related field.
- oExperience in CBT
- oDemonstrates extensive experience of working in specialist CAMHS / local authority setting
- oDemonstrates extensive post qualification experience of care co-ordination and management of complex caseloads.
