We are recruiting for a number of local NHS trusts within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and across the UK, offering an excellent relocation package including flights to the UK and temporary accommodation.
We welcome applications from nurses who hold a Mental Health degree certification or general registered nurses who have experience in mental health nursing and have been working in a mental health setting.
Main duties of the job
You will initially join as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker role (working towards a Band 5 Mental Health Registered Nurse). You will be provided with the necessary training and support to prepare and successfully complete your OSCE, this includes:
- OSCE training programme - to help you successfully pass your OSCE
- Transport & accommodation to the relevant OSCE centre
- One funded attempt to pass your OSCE (subsequent attempts would be funded by yourself)
- Full professional and pastoral support throughout your application process, OSCE and induction into the NHS
- Fully paid VISA and flights to the UK (plus other reimbursements)
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities to help you excel in your new role
Upon successful completion of your OSCE and registration with the NMC you will then join the Mental Health Nurse workforce.

Job description Job responsibilities
*Fulfil the role of Named Nurse, thus co-ordinating and participating in holistic and recovery focused Care and Treatment Plans for a defined group of service users, working within the Care Programme Approach Framework.
*Support continuous monitoring and review of care and treatment plans with relevant members of the multi-disciplinary team.
*Work closely with the Crisis resolution and Home treatment team and Community Care Co-ordinator/Community Mental Health Team from admission through to discharge for all service users.
*Provide advice, guidance, support and information to relatives and carers to ensure they are fully involved in the care planning process as appropriate.
*Ensure that service users have their rights to privacy and dignity maintained at all times and ensure that equality and diversity needs are met.
*Assist in increasing client's knowledge and understanding of their mental health issues to enable them to lead and take responsibility for their recovery.
*Ensure regular review of risk assessments with relevant members of the multi-disciplinary team and updating service user records and care plans accordingly.
*To be responsible for the administration of medication and monitoring its effectiveness during the span of duty as per NMC guidelines and Trust policy, in addition monitoring those service users who are self-medicating on the unit using the ward self-medication guidelines.
*To be responsible for upholding the rights of individuals under the Mental Health Act 1983. Ensuring Mental Health Act paperwork is scrutinised and regularly checked. Provide service users with relevant

- Registered General Health Nurse with Mental Health Nursing experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development
