An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) interested in working in trans and non-binary Voice service within an established Gender Identity Clinic (GIC).
NHFT GIC provides a range of non-surgical interventions and treatments for trans and non-binary people of which gender affirming voice modification is a key component.
You will be joining a Band 7 Specialist SLT who leads the provision of voice and communication therapy for GIC patients, via face to face consultations within the outpatient clinic as well and remote sessions delivered via video link.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be a qualified SLT who is HCPC registered, with at least one year's experience working in Voice. Previous experience of working with this patient group would be highly desirable but is not essential as the post holder will receive regular supervision and support from the senior SLT.
About us
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
