We are looking for a Specialist Occupational Therapist with a passion for working in rehabilitation and community services to work as part of our Community Therapy Team in South Powys. The main focus of our service is to provide rehabilitation to adults in their own homes, communities and inpatient facilities, working in an integrated way with colleagues from health, social care and third sector.
Main duties of the job
You will have proven specialist clinical skills and be keen to take an active part in contributing to ongoing development of our service. You will need to have excellent communication, motivational and organisational skills, a flexible approach to work to ensure delivery of a high standard of care.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registered
- Evidence of significant post graduate training e.g. range of short courses, in-house training
- Documented evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Specialist knowledge and application of Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions relevant to client group
- Detailed knowledge of the principals of clinical governance and its application
- Effective teaching and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Occupational Therapy models of practice
- Clinical fieldwork educator
- Supervision of junior staff
- Evidence of commitment to multi-disciplinary working
- Awareness Ability to work autonomously and set own prioritiesof current practice issues
- Experience working within a Community setting
- Understanding of Occupational Therapy Outcome Measures
- Computer literacy
- To be well organised and able to keep to deadlines/ timescales
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to use initiative to solve problems
- Commitment to lifelong learning
- Welsh speaker
- Ability to travel throughout Powys is essential
- Participate within the 7-day rota to meet the service needs
