This unique opportunity is available for Mental Health trained Registered Nurses who would like to work in the following areas: Adult Acute Inpatients (Northgate Hospital), Mental Health Liaison Team (James Paget Hospital) and Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (Northgate Hospital).
This is a new rotation programme where you will rotate around all three areas & spend 8 months in each setting; you'll have the opportunity to gain insight into aspects of the acute pathway here in Great Yarmouth, exploring 3 different areas & at the end of the 24 months you'll have a substantive post in one of the areas you have spent time in on your rotation.
All three areas are fast paced services where no two days will be the same. This is the ideal role for someone who is interested in understanding the adult acute pathway and will be a fantastic foundation to prepare you for the next steps in your career.
Working on a rotation will give you the opportunity to work with a variety of professionals with different skills sets and experience, all with the same goal in mind. **This post attracts a recruitment premium of £3,000 (pro-rata for part time roles). - Nursing degree or equivalent, Dip SW or Dip OT or equivalent, or HCPC registered
- Mentorship qualification or willingness to undertake mentorship training
- Previous experience of working with people with mental health needs
- Good observation and reporting skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to display calm, mature response to difficult situations
- Ability to supervise others
- Understanding of issues surrounding confidentiality
- Awareness of security and its impact and willingness to expand knowledge on it.
- Working knowledge /application of the Mental Health Act 1983
- Enthusiastic and well motivated
- Able to work as part of a close team
- Ability to travel independently
- Generally interested and motivated to work in a care environment
