This is an exciting opportunity for a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist with a special interest in eating disorders to contribute to the delivery and development of a well-established Eating Disorder Service.
This role requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is willing to make a real change. If you are quality focused, enthusiastic, motivated and ready for a challenge, possess excellent communication and organisational skills then you are the person we are looking for this post.
Main duties of the job
You will be working in a community based team delivering a service to adults with eating disorders and their families/carers in a supportive and lively multidisciplinary team, where differences in training are respected and valued.
You will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the delivery of a modernised and comprehensive service. As well as offering specialist CBT assessments and interventions, you will play a key role in contributing to service development.
As part of this modernised new service we use technology to support our everyday working, and the role will involve the use of digital CBT. The service is currently using a hybrid model, including some remote working as part of clinicians' job plans.

Person Specification Knowledge Essential
- Understanding of the need to use evidence based psychological therapies including CBT and how it relates to this post
- Understanding of eating disorders and how it may present in patients within community and hospital settings
- Accredited or able to demonstrate that you are now accreditable with the BABCP
- Has received training (either formal of through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice
- A recorded/registered doctoral level qualification in clinical or counselling psychology with current HCPC registration OR A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or a psychological therapy and further post graduate qualification training in evidence-based psychological therapies, including CBT, to at least equivalent of a Masters level (e.g. IAPT CBT diploma) and significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner
- Experience of providing evidence based psychological therapies including CBT
- Experience with routine outcome monitoring
- Car driver with ability and willingness to travel to locations throughout the organisation
