Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist/Osteopath opportunity at St Margaret's Hospital, Epping.
We are looking for full time and/or part time Band 6 Physiotherapists/Osteopaths to work at our Epping EPUT Community MSK services. Physiotherapists returning to work after a career break are welcome to apply. We are a large dynamic team working over four sites which also includes Epping, as well as Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Saffron Walden.

Main duties of the job
You will be working in a friendly, supportive MSK Physiotherapy Team in Epping. We have a high ratio of senior to junior staff and provide comprehensive supervision, training and development opportunities.
You will work as part of the Integrated MSK Service and you will have close contact with the Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners. Our service accepts referrals from primary and secondary care and we work closely with our local First Contact Practitioner Physiotherapists.
The department offers a well-developed Clinical Education Programme comprising of internally and externally run courses. Continuing professional development is actively supported.

Job description Job responsibilities
To be a Specialist Physiotherapist and /or Structural Osteopath responsible for providing a high standard of assessment, advice, treatment and evaluation of patients referred to the Musculoskeletal Service. This may include patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions
To build on previous experience to further develop clinical and managerial competencies.
To work as an autonomous professional according to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy rules of Professional Conduct and Standards of Physiotherapy or equivalent Structural Osteopaths union, and the Health Professions Councils regulations.
To work as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the provision of a high standard of care to those patients referred to the musculoskeletal service, to ensure the continuation of therapy on transfer or discharge as necessary
Working without direct supervision, to hold responsibility for own caseload and the seamless transfer of physiotherapy care for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type. Supervision may take the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review or case presentations / discussions. Access to advice and support from a more Senior Physiotherapist is available if required, with clinical work not routinely evaluated by others.
To assist more senior physiotherapists, in the further development and the coordination of the provision of physiotherapy.
To deputise for the Team Leader as appropriate
To supervise, educate and assess performance of physiotherapy students. This would be to a graduate level and involve working with the universities to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the standards set by the degree level qualification.
To supervise band 5 staff, this will involve clinical supervision, 1:1 support and appraisals.
