We are pleased to announce a new incentive package for our Inpatient Registered Nurse roles
An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 5 Mental Health Nurses who are currently or due to register with the NMC to work on our adult acute admission ward within Dane Garth in Barrow-in-Furness.
We are looking for highly motivated Staff nurses who can demonstrate excellent clinical and interpersonal qualities. The successful candidate must be willing to work in fast paced environment, have a positive outlook and ensure that delivering a high quality service, which genuinely engages with service users, carers and other stakeholders, is a key priority.
In addition, the successful post holder may be expected to rotate across the inpatient units within the Dane Garth site and be able to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (M.D.T.) to develop person centred holistic care. Maintaining individual's quality of life whist assessing them for appropriate community placements.
This job also entails taking responsibility for the day to day management of the ward as required in support of the ward manager and deputies, including teaching, supervision of junior staff/students.
The position requires shift work, including occasional nights, on a rotational basis.

- Experience in dementia care and different areas of mental health
- Mental health national service framework
- Up to date knowledge of dementia & person centred care
- Knowledge of mental illness, causation, incidence, prevalence, description of disorders & impact on individuals, families & communities
- Prescribed medical treatments.
