We have a fantastic opportunity to recruit passionate, dedicated and highly motivated Band 6 Clinical Lead Nurse on Ty Lafant our Assessment & Treatment Unit for individuals with a Learning Disability. The post holder will be a key member of the in-patient multi-disciplinary team, working within a outcome-focused service. There is a need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, with strong leadership skills.

We aim to offer the highest quality specialist service to our patient group in a safe and supportive environment that enables, encourages and supports each individual to have the best outcomes, feel safe and comfortable during their stay. We strive to create a 'secure base' for both patients and staff through the development of relationships where everyone feels safe, respected, valued and supported.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested and committed to delivering care within a psychologically informed environment and will enhance already acquired skills. If you are interested, you will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to enable clients' independence, rights, choices and dignity. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to progress in the inpatient setting and work within a Clinical Lead role.

Main duties of the job

The post holder is a key member of the Ty Lafant multi-disciplinary team, working within a recovery-focused service. There is a need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, with strong leadership skills. The post holder will deputise for the ward manager in the absence of the deputy manager. To be responsible for coordinating, delivering and maintaining a high standard of clinical care for all patients. To provide support to the ward & deputy managers and clinical leadership to the ward team. To provide leadership, guidance and supervision of junior nursing staff. To ensure that systems are used to incorporate Essence of Care, any other adopted models of quality assurance and clinical governance into everyday practice. The post holder will have an interest in furthering their clinical skills and will undertake further training as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
