We are looking for an enthusiastic 8a psychological therapist to join our Greenwich community Secondary care psychology team (ADAPT). This is to work with clients who experience difficulties associated with trauma, low mood, anxiety and personality related difficulties.

The role involves potential for a variety of clinical work including 1:1 interventions (brief and for up to 1 year), group interventions and working systemically. In terms of modality, you will be joining an eclectic team with interests in the area of attachment theory, CBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy and mentalization based therapy. There are opportunities for training and PPD within the service.

An interest in MDT working would be crucial

This would be suitable for:

Psychotherapists registered with UKCP, BACP, BPC, AFT

CBT therapists registered with BABCP

Clinical or Counselling Psychologists registered with HCPC

Main duties of the job

To provide psychological assessments and interventions for clients referred to Greenwich ADAPT at all levels of the service (eg brief and longer term group and individual interventions)

To attend meetings alongside the MDT and to support the team in developing a trauma informed service

To provide clinical supervision of Band 7 psychologists, trainees and assistant psychologists

Job description Job responsibilities

To provide a qualified clinical psychology service to clients of the Adult Mental Health Greenwich ADAPT Service and other teams when necessary or appropriate: providing highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
