We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified nurse or allied health professional to join our Specialist Community Learning Disability Health and Autism Diagnostic Service. You will join a dynamic and friendly specialist health team with a diverse and interesting skill set, who are spearheading the future development of community services, in Swindon.
Main duties of the job
Applicants must have experience of undertaking assessments with highly complex individuals, providing highly specialist therapeutic interventions with adults with complex needs and/or enduring mental health problems, as well as having a proven track record of contributing to the development and delivery of innovative, evidence-based initiatives to improve the quality of life of service users.
This role will focus on supporting individuals with complex learning disabilities and/or autism in the community. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and you will have access to regular clinical and management supervision to enable you to work autonomously.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to use and develop a number of skills, including leadership skills, autism diagnosis, complex physical disability and epilepsy depending on their experience and the demands of the service.
