Applications are invited for a Full-Time (10PA) Consultant Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS Eating Disorders Service. We would welcome LTFT applicants interested in job-share.

The post holder will be based at Rivermead, Belper.

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist CAMHS to the Southern half of the County with total population of approximately 625,000. The approximate population of 0-18 year age group is 126,000.

The Service has undergone Transformation to an Integrated Care Pathways approach with centralisation of Therapy Services and initial assessment (CHOICE) to make the best use of local resources and monies from Future in Minds with an Outcomes Focused direction, influenced by THRIVE and New Ways of Working. We have Participation embedded within the service with a Participation Lead and Experts by Experience Worker. The service was rated as Outstanding by the CQC at last inspection.

Main duties of the job

The Consultant position will be integral to the multi-disciplinary team, providing medical and clinical leadership, working closely with other Consultants, Clinical Lead in the Team, and the Operational Team Manager to provide strategic development to the CAMHS service.

As part of the ongoing service transformation the service is now moving to a service pathway model that will enable children and young people to receive the right service, at the right time and place, in line with evidence-based practice.

Our service places high importance on providing high quality care and values clinical engagement in service development.

Our service particularly prides itself in providing excellent Consultant peer support. The post involve working closely within a multi-disciplinary team.
