We as a team are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys a challenge and has experience of working with young people with moderate to severe mental health problems.
This role is to provide expert specialist practice to children and young people who require the intervention of Core CAMHS, including assessment, care planning and case management as determinedby need. To provide consultation to other staff on this area of specialist practice. To work autonomously within professional guidelines as a non-medical prescriber and exercise responsibility for the delivery of effective evidence based clinical practice within the specialism
Main duties of the job
To manage a case load of children and young people who require medication prescriptions ensuring the safe and effective use of medication following NICEguidance.o To follow the trust guidance on the Non-Medical prescribing of medication and develop robust, evidence based processes of working locally developing localSOPs.? To work closely with the Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists developing an integrated approach to the management and safe delivery of medication monitoring.o To work within the designated Team, according to the Team practices, ethos and responsibilities.? To hold a non-medical prescribing case load and a case load whereby the role is care co-ordinatoro To autonomously manage a caseload of children and young people, and their families/carers, who have mental health needs using evidence based/clientcentered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions following the principals of CPA.o To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options through analysis and comparison of options, taking into account and balancing the needs of thechild/young person within the family context.
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who has undertaken the appropriate level of further education to develop the knowledge and competences that are necessary to work safely, efficiently and effectively at this advanced level of practice.

- V300 Independent Prescribing Qualification.
- Post graduate diploma or specialist qualification/ training to Masters level in child/adolescent mental health and/or relevant field
- working with CAMHS patients
- Evidence of continued professional development
