Following the recent unprecedented investment into our community OT Service, we are very proud to announce that we have appointed 13 new staff members across all bandings, and now need 2 band 7 OTs to complete the largest team of community Paediatric OTs in London.

We are looking for experienced and innovative OTs to join our band 7 leadership team and help support the development and implementation of:
  • A whole school 3- tier model including an 'autism in schools' approach
  • A new 'sensory zone' and Sensory Service
  • SEND pathways of support

Person Specification Education Essential
  • Recognised Occupational Therapy Degree/Post graduate degree Qualification or equivalent
  • Health Professions Council - Licence to Practice
Desirable
  • Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups
  • Relevant post graduate training/courses
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Occupational Therapists
Experience Essential
  • Post Graduate Experience of working between 4-5 years with evidence of consolidation of core OT competencies
  • Relevant specialist experience post qualification
  • In-depth experience within Paediatric OT
  • Community paediatric experience
Knowledge Essential
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge in the area of upper limb splinting, postural management, complex needs, neurodiversity, EHCP.
  • Skills in being able to diffuse possible conflicting situations
  • Extensive Skills in planning, assessing and implementing intervention for a variety of client groups across a wide age range
  • Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal including ability to write clear and concise reports
  • In-depth knowledge of the principles of clinical governance / audit
  • Awareness of standards of record keeping
  • Working knowledge of safeguarding children
