Band 7 Nurse Practitioner/Team Lead (Adult Nurse, RNA or Dual Trained RNA & RNMH), Eating Disorders Service (£41,659 - £47,672)
An exciting opportunity to contribute to leading and developing the newly formed Physical Health Monitoring Team within the Eating Disorder Service.
This team has been recently commissioned to provide physical health monitoring to those within the Hampshire area who have an eating disorder and are at high risk (e.g., as per The Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Medical Emergencies in Eating Disorder: Guidance on Recognition and Management).
The multidisciplinary approach within the team includes input from Psychiatrists, a Specialist Medic, General and Mental Health Nurses whilst liaising with the wider Eating Disorder Service which also includes Clinical and Assistant Psychologists, CBT Therapists, a Dietician, a Social Worker and an Occupational Therapist.
The Nurse Practitioner/Team Lead will be responsible for providing line management and supervision to a Band 6 (RNA or RNMH) and Band 5 Nurse (RNA) and leading the team to provide:
- Physical health monitoring clinics across Hampshire
- Case management of high-risk patients including in collaboration with other EDS professionals
- Multi-professional and multi-agency liaison, including the provision of physical health monitoring advice, guidance and education/training to our partners (e.g., primary care, acute care, inpatient settings, community mental health teams)
We welcome applications from those who feel they have experience and knowledge which can be applied to this specialist area. We can offer support with learning and development needs in post. The Trust also offers a competitive staff benefits package.
