This is an opportunity for you to further develop your clinical and leadership skills working as a Senior Occupational Therapist within the locality based Mental Health team (Castle Point, Rochford and Rayleigh). You will undertake both case management and the delivery of specific Occupational Therapy interventions as required by and determined by the service users needs.There is a strong professional AHP leadership structure within the organisation, and you will be supported by the OT clinical lead within the locality team

Main duties of the job

You will be working within the Occupational Therapy service as part of the multi-disciplinary team. You will be assessing service users referred to the service, and making decisions on the level of treatment intervention required, and delivering the appropriate interventions. You will undertake care planning with the service user, communicating agreed plans with the wider MDT and partnership organisations. You will have responsibility for managing those you are working with within your caseload.

The post will suit a motivated, treatment focused Occupational Therapist, with experience of working with those with mental health difficulties. The post holder will need to be competent in the management of service users with a focus upon Occupational Therapy approaches and interventions that support recovery. You will need to work as part of the wider MDT but with the confidence to be able to practice autonomously.

EPUT offer a fantastic relocation package of up to £8,000. Covering a number of expenditures for new recruits relocating from 30 miles or more from their new work base at EPUT.
