An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join the York Outreach Recovery Team. The applicant will be expected to provide evidenced based care and treatment using a recovery framework for adults with Mental Health conditions. You will be required to have a clinical caseload.
You will need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated with experience in assessments and delivery of care for patients in the community (if you are due to be qualified student experience is sufficient). The team work with individuals who experience psychosis and relational difficulties. If you are newly qualified, you will have access to full Preceptorship. You will also have regular, group, clinical and caseload management within the team and will work closely with other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team to provide care co-ordination responsibilities for a defined caseload.
There are varied opportunities for training and development, and peer support and supervision systems are in place. This would be an ideal post for a newly qualified or soon to be qualified professional- we can consider final year students who are due to be qualified soon.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
- Current professional registration with an approved professional body.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- or registered nurses: MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale
- Trained Clinical Supervisor (within agreed timescale).
- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area
- Evidenced based knowledge of best practice in caring for patients in the designated field.
- Understanding of relevant legislation (e.g. Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act).
- Care Programme Approach and its application in practice
- Understanding of Safeguarding and its application in practice
- Clinical Risk Assessment and Management and its application in practice.
- Clinical Governance and Clinical Supervision.
- Awareness of psychological models of care and treatment
- Working with people with mental ill health.
- Working in a person centred therapeutic organisation
- Working collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
- Working in partnership with other agencies
