We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist who has experience working with children with long term health conditions to join our Hull and East Riding Long term health condition pathway.

The post holder will have the opportunity to work alongside other psychologists in long term health conditions, working with young people with a range of conditions, including diabetes, epilepsy and other neurological conditions; offering 1:1 psychological therapy or systemic interventions as well as consultations and training to other agencies. If you have relevant skills and experience with complex clinical work, and consultation in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The long term conditions pathway is part of our neurodiversity service, consisting of Nurses with a broad range of specialities, Art Therapy, CBT, Psychology and Psychiatry. You will have the opportunity to work as part of an MDT and be part of the wider service and link in with other psychologists working across the child speciality.

We also have a strong focus on evidence based practice and are working towards the use of routine outcome measures. There is a commitment to ongoing staff training. We are also working towards having more participation from young people and their families in directing service development.
