Band 5-6 Developmental Post OPMH Psychiatric Liaison Nurse

Come and join the OPMH Liaison Psychiatry Team Southampton.

As a Liaison Psychiatry Practitioner, you will work as part of a specialist team in the Acute Hospital providing holistic assessments, care planning and brief interventions. You will work closely with acute hospital staff across multiple specialties in both the Emergency Department and in-patient wards providing advice, education and training to support the delivery of patient centered care and bridging the gap between mental and physical health.

An exciting opportunity to join our team in a Band 5 development post has become available. As a team, we will provide a period of induction, developmental plan ongoing education and training to help you progress to a band 6 practitioner. As part of our team, you will be supported to enhance your knowledge of both physical and mental health, crisis management skills and gain skills in working within a fast paced, multi disciplinary approach to care.

This exciting opportunity has arisen following the recent alignment to the national Core 24 model. The service is now developing to meet the Hampshire and IOW mental health transformation priorities. And is an integral of the 24/7 Urgent Care Model.

The successful candidate will be working 9am-5pm across a 7-day service.
