An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Achieve Salford and Trafford. The post holder will form part of a busy Assessment Team, working as a Team Leader to support the engagement and retention of service users accessing support, promoting their recovery, offering one to one support and negotiating achievable recovery plans with service users and their family and carer's where appropriate.

Main duties of the job

The post holder with have excellent knowledge regarding a range of substances and treatment options available and demonstrable experience in case management of service users with complex needs associated with substance misuse and be able to manage their time effectively and ensure timely submission of service data and professional reports.

As Team Leader you will support the Team Manager in providing an effective and efficient service by taking a lead role in service developments within your area of specialism and managing a designated group of staff.

Job description Job responsibilities

  • To ensure self and the team maintain quality standards in every area of work in accordance with regulations, and to identify and manage risk within own area of responsibility.
  • To be aware of key performance indicators for the service and to ensure the systems are in place to enable staff to achieve them.
  • To ensure that performance monitoring takes place within own area of responsibility, in accordance with internal and external requirements to enable ongoing service evaluation and review.
  • To lead on service developments within your designated area of responsibility, or as delegated by the Team Manager.
  • To actively promote service user and carer involvement in the planning and delivery of services.
  • To provide supervision and line management to a team of practitioners ensuring high quality service delivery.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Relevant professional qualification or educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience in a health or social care setting
Experience Essential
  • oSignificant post qualification experience working with service users in a health or social care setting
  • oExperience of assessing service users needs and working in partnership with them and other services to set and monitor individual goals
  • oExperience of inducting and mentoring junior members of staff
Desirable
  • previous leading on a piece of work
Knowledg Essential
  • oKnowledge of the physical, psychological and social effects of substance misuse and appropriate interventions
