Due to retirement we have an excited opportunity for a team leader to be part of the CAMHS Intensive Outreach team. A community based team whose primary task is to provide intensive care and support (as home based treatment) as an alternative to admission for young people who would otherwise require admission to inpatient Tier 4 beds. For those young people who do require a period of inpatient care remain as their community contact and to facilitate their early discharge from hospital. The team will also provide ‘in reach’ support to individual young people , remaining in a general hospital facility or placed in adult mental health units, as an emergency , whilst waiting for an appropriate T4 adolescent speciality bed.
The post holder carries day to day responsibility for the operational management and delivery of services within the CAMHS Intensive Outreach team in line with the Trust Values. The post holder will ensure that a high quality service is delivered within this specialist area and that all National and Trust targets and standards are adhered to including the recording of information within the IT systems. The post holder will be responsible for the management of staff within the team, leadership, the delivery and delegation of management supervision and ensuring appropriate clinical / professional supervision takes place as per Trust Policy.
