Are you interested in working for an exciting proactive team? Enfield Crisis Team is looking for 2 full-time band 6, Nurse practitioner based in Chase Farm Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an independent and self-sufficient practitioner. Experience working with adult who have mental health difficulties, previous experience of working in multi-disciplinary team, and an understanding of crisis intervention is required. The individual should be dynamic, pro-active and forward thinking and have a clear focus on patient and carer experience.

The successful candidates must display a considerable degree of initiative, possess mature judgment and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with service users, their relatives and colleagues. They must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, manage competing demands and organize their own work in order for the smooth running of the service.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Registered with NMC as RMN, or Dip SW, or registered with HPC
  • Mentorship qualification or equivalent
  • Evidence of post registration training
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Essential
  • At least 2 years post-registration experience at band 5 level.
  • Experience of acute inpatients and/or community areas, working with people going through a mental health crisis.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Experience of working autonomously in a community setting
  • Experience of working in a crisis resolution/home treatment service
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Essential
  • Organisational skills
  • Able to communicate effectively within a multi-professional team.
  • Decision making skills
  • Experience of risk assessment/management in an acute and/or community setting
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
  • Understanding of legal framework and social factors involved in community care.
  • Experience of having had clinical Supervision, understanding of Supervision.
  • Competent IT skills
  • Sensitive to cultural, dynamic and diverse needs
OTHER REQUIRMENTS Essential
  • Ability to work flexibly according to client/service needs.
