*£6,500 relocation package available (criteria applies) *This exciting opportunity is for a dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic candidate to join our friendly and supportive rehabilitation team based within Magnolia Unit (St Michael's Site, Enfield)
This role is ideal for an experienced Band 6 OT with advanced clinical andleadership skills or a Band 7 OT with a passion to learn new ways of developing and expanding existing services. You will be working within a well-established MDT, managing the planning and delivery of the Core Occupational Therapy Service to achieve the best service outcomes for patients. You will have supervision, staff management, training and development responsibility and will be supported by a team of Band 7 peers and Integrated Therapy Lead. This is a challenging and exciting time to join the Service as we develop integrated rehabilitation services across inpatients and community services through key service development workstreams led by the Integrated Therapy Lead.
Main duties of the job
Magnolia Unit is a 34 bedded inpatient rehabilitation unit, providing physical rehabilitation for adults and older people. The unit accepts referrals for hospital avoidance and rehabilitation from acute providers and community services. The post holder will bring valuable advanced experience to the service, having worked within the specialist area of complex inpatient rehabilitation, including progressive and nonprogressive conditions, palliative care patients and with older people. Alongsidesenior and junior therapy colleagues as well as the wider MDT, your role will support comprehensive rehabilitation planning and delivery as well as facilitating complex discharges from the service into the community.
The post holder will work as an autonomous Occupational Therapist, responsible for the management, planning, implementation and direction of the OT Team which consists of Band 6, 5 and 4 staff to ensure the provision of an exceptional standard of Occupational Therapy service, in conjunction with the multi-professional team to meet the needs of the patients on the Magnolia Unit This will also including mentoring, training, CPD, supervision and appraisal of staff and students.

Person Specification Previous Experience Essential
- Extensive and recent clinical experience working as B6 or B7 in Physical Rehabilitation with adults and older people.
- Experience working with patients with cognitive deficits.
- Experience working within Hand Therapy.
- Experience working as a Team Lead.
- The ability to autonomously manage workload and determine priorities, delegating as appropriate.
- The ability to process, manage and communicate complex information. To do this in a sensitive and clear manner in order to ensure optimum understanding and co-operation.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Audit and Service Improvement skills.
- Understanding of O.T. outcome measures.
- Up to date knowledge of developments effecting OT practice.

- Recognised Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Understanding of risks involved in work in the community and clinical settings.
- Completion of the Practice Placement Educator's Training.
- Mental Capacity Assessment Training.
- The physical ability to meet the demands of the post including travelling for community based assessments.
- Driving license with access to a car for business use
- Fluent in any other local language.
