Are you a skilled CAMHS Senior Nurse ready for an operational and strategic management role in Tier 4 services? Are you skilled at embedding governance structures and processes and ensuring services maintain standards in line with performance targets?
We have a unique Deputy Lead Nurse role which will suit a candidate with a passion for working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
You will lead an inpatient multidisciplinary team and ensure that the service meets standards set by CQC, QNIC and the trust to ensure safe and high-quality care is provided.
You will provide senior nurse leadership and Matron cover for one ward and will be part of the senior nurse management group which comprises of a Lead Nurse, two Matrons and three Ward managers.
Main duties of the job
Have strategic and operational management responsibility for the inpatient service Set up clear monitoring / feedback / structure / system that enables the Senior Management Group (SMG) leads to both understand and improve nursing practice across the service Be the nurse lead for service developments Ensure that nursing practice across the service reflects the values of the organisation
Work with the SMG to reduce violence and aggression in the service and the use of restrictive interventions such as seclusion
Work with the SMG to ensure Quality Improvement (QI) projects are developed across the service to constantly improve the service provided to users and carers
Work with the GM/LN on local workforce development and recruitment initiatives Undertake Senior Manager on call duties as required

Person Specification Education/Training Essential
- Registered Nurse (Mental Health)
- Relevant teaching or assessing qualification
- Masters qualification or equivalent experience
- Evidence of Leadership / Management Trainin
- Specialist Area Training
- Experience of working as a senior nurse or clinical lead in a Child and Adolescent mental health
- services (CAMHS) at band 8a level or above
- Experience of strategic leadership within a multidisciplinary service
- Experience of managing budgets
- Evidence of quality improvement and embedding QI learning
- Experience of supporting teams to embed CQC standards
- Experience of implementing recruitment and retention strategies.
- Ensuring team/service high quality care including documentation
- Proven track record of implementation of strategy, change management and practice development
- Emotional Intelligence and Personal Resilience NMC Code of Conduct
- Current Developments in CAMHS
- Promotion of high quality supervision and reflective practice
