Cornwall Foundation Trust (CFT) are looking for registered nurses to join our innovative and dynamic organisation.

Our Trust provides a range of mental health and physical health services to children, young people and adults across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly within both community and inpatient settings.

Our Trust is rated 'Good' overall and 'Outstanding' for care- something we are immensely proud of as it is a true reflection of the outstanding work our staff across the organisation do every day.

We are seeking RMN's & RGN's both for our inpatient and community teams. We have a number of different areas for you to specialise in, in both physical and mental health and as an organisation we are proactively adapting and transforming our services and career pathways to better suit the communities we serve and aid the development and retention of our staff. So whether want to move into a clinical specialism or into a management role there are new opportunities evolving every day.

If you are a registered nurse who would relish the opportunity to work in a forward thinking organisation where the work you do is valued and recognised then apply today.

Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and may be required to teach other nursing and non nursing staff.
  • To provide designated named nurse responsibility for a number of patients.
  • To provide leadership, supervision and support to junior staff both qualified and unqualified in the absence of the Clinical Team Leader and Unit Manager during the course of the normal shift pattern, and to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources available to deliver a high standard of quality care to service users.

About us

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

We are a people organisation and people matter to us. As part of the team, you'll help support the health and wellbeing of the people who live and visit this beautiful part of the UK.

Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

We work in people's homes, in community clinics and bases. Some staff work from one of our 13 community hospitals. Our aspiration is to have great people, provide great care, be a great place to work and a great partner.

Just over 532,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
