Set in its own stunning grounds, Leigh House is an is an award winning purpose built hospital offering a specialist inpatient service and day care for young people aged between 13-18 years. Leigh House also has particular expertise in the management of young people suffering from anorexia nervosa.

We provide support and treatment for young people experiencing acute mental illness, such as depression and psychotic disorders whilst also specialising in supporting those with anorexia.

As the Clinical Ward Manager you will be professionally responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. You will maintain a supportive leadership profile for the Charge Nurses, all Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and Health Care Support Workers. You will work collaboratively with medical staff and other health professionals to support the delivery of patient care.

You will need to demonstrate you have good leadership skills with the ability to; coach, guide, supervise, teach and role model qualified and un-qualified staff including students.

Ultimately, you will provide effective leadership and management to staff to promote high performance standards both individually and as a team, in order to achieve the Trust’s objectives and priorities.
