Wigan and Bolton CEDS ( CAMHS) has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to apply for this newly developed role, to improve the service delivery within the Community Eating Disorder Team.

The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the clinical and operational team to ensure high quality, recovery focussed care is delivered to our service users.

The post holder will hold a caseload and will lead assessment, formulation and prescribing of care / treatment planning, including discharge planning within agreed protocols and procedures and be an integral part of the MDT supporting clinical decision making and supporting the service pathways, developing nurse led clinics and providing brief interventions. The post holder will also support the development of the CED service by providing a seamless pathway and patient experience, with interventions, to promote recovery and self-management, as clinically appropriate.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide advanced and expert level of practice (including non-medical prescribing) within CEDS leading to improved patient outcomes.

They will be an integral part of the MDT supporting clinical decision making and supporting the service pathways, developing nurse led clinics and providing brief interventions.

The Advanced Practitioner will hold a case load and will lead assessment, formulation and prescribing of care planning including discharge planning within agreed protocols and procedures.

The job holder may additionally lead on practice and service developments. The job holder is required to demonstrate clinical and practice expertise via interventions, supervision and modelling good practice.

To support improving workforce knowledge and practice through the contribution to our wider partner agencies education and training programme across the community teams within Bolton and Wigan in relation to eating disorders

To participate in the BOC/BOS on Call rota

If you are not in current possession of Advanced Practitioner MSC qualification we are in a position to offer you the training course to complete this qualification in SEPT 2023, on completion Band 8 A will be offered and while training Band 7

Person Specification Education/Qualifications Essential
  • Registered First level nurse MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice Nurse Prescribing qualification
Experience Essential
  • Experience of working with clients with complex needs Compiling protocols and clinical guidance Audit Experience of working at a senior clinical nurse level
