An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, accredited psychological therapist to join a specialist service delivering psychological therapies in the Neighbourhood mental health team. The team is collaboration between Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, the local authority and third sector partners. The service operates within a living well model to delivery interventions within the service users neighbourhood. We work closely with our community partners in delivering a service tailored towards the needs of the individual. As a therapist in the team you will deliver 1:1 therapy and group work. Attend regular multidisciplinary meetings and daily huddles, access and deliver supervision where appropriate and assist in delivery of CPD to the wider team.

Main duties of the job

Job Summary

The post holder will undertake assessments and provide psychological interventions to clients with complex needs and underlying trauma.

As a senior practitioner the post holder will contribute to the on-going development of the service model which will include working closely with a range of practitioners from other mental health services, 3rd Sector providers and statutory services and social services.

Key Requirements of the Person Specification:
  • Qualification in a specific psychological modality such as CAT, IPT, Art Therapy, CBT, EMDR, DBT OR a recorded/registered qualification in one of the following - nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or a psychological therapy - plus further post graduate qualification training in one or more specific modality
  • Professional accreditation
  • Experience of working in a psychological therapy service with service users who have mental health needs.
