An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 charge nurse to work in a brand new health-based place of safety ('136 suite') at the Woodlands Centre for Acute Care, part of the Sussex Partnership and based in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex. Woodlands is a busy 23-bed Acute unit split into male and female wards, and sits alongside the 136 suite. We are looking for a charge nurse to work in this new facility, which is scheduled to open in early 2022.Our Trust has just been upgraded by CQC as GOOD in every domain and EXCELLENT in the CARING domain. Due to this we are now the third leading Mental Health Trust in the country. We will strive to maintain our standards and always improve where we can. Current feedback from patients tells us that the provision is a great improvement and allows staff to be out in the ward environment with the patients and have the time to nurse, which has a major positive impact on patient recovery time. Patient C's comments stated that 'this is the best inpatient stay I have had and now I am ready to go home feeling heard and valued'.
