An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Director of Nursing, AHP and Social Care Professionals to join the Nursing & Quality Team here at Humber NHS to provide professional leadership for our Nursing, Allied Health and Social Care workforce.

Heading up a team of senior nurses, AHPs and managers you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Director of Nursing and Quality in the delivery of key organisational strategy's including patient safety, clinical governance, quality improvement, clinical risk management and safeguarding. You will be responsible for providing effective professional leadership and direction for nursing and supporting the professional agenda for AHPs and Social Workers, at all levels within the organisation, with a strong focus on improving all aspects of quality.

Main duties of the job

Accountable for strategic professional leadership and direction through the implementation of a highly challenging, radical professional strategy implementation plan which aims to support delivery of the Trust transformation and quality improvement agenda.

Provide senior leadership support for strategic modernisation plans for the delivery of highly efficient evidence-based interventions and the highest levels of professional standards/clinical skills in response to user and carer needs, and the transformation agendas across our community, mental health, learning difficulties and primary care services.

Lead on delivery and assurance processes in relation to the implementation of the Trusts Quality Improvement and Assurance and Clinical Governance Programmes.

Deputise for the Director of Nursing, Allied Health & Social Care Professionals as required/appropriate

Person Specification Qualifications and Knowledge Essential
  • NMC registered
  • Masters level
  • Management leadership qualification or equivalent
Desirable
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse
Experience Essential
  • Able to demonstrate examples of positive impact/change within a provider organisation at an advanced/expert level.
Desirable
  • Recent experience of senior nurse leadership within a mental health setting.
