Are you a qualified (or about to qualify) Physiotherapist wanting to use your skills working with children, young people and their families?
The Children's Therapy Service are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist to join our experienced and friendly Preston based team. The Children's Therapy services provide an excellent opportunity to work alongside dedicated professionals providing excellent high quality care to reduce the impact of disability to children and their families with additional and complex needs.
Main duties of the job
We work with children and young people aged 0- 19 with a variety of conditions including congenital conditions, neuromotor conditions, movement coordination difficulties and musculoskeletal problems.
The team comprises of physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. We work closely with colleagues in health, education and social care to provide a genuinely child-centred service. We work in a variety of locations, including clinics, children's own homes, nurseries and schools.
Experience of working in Paediatrics is desirable but we are seeking an enthusiastic physiotherapist with a commitment to developing their specialist paediatric skills. In return we can offer clinical and management supervision, specialist support by experienced senior staff, continuing professional development and specialist physiotherapy forums. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage their own time, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. An interest in working with children and their families is essential.

- Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Knowledge and appreciation of lone working risks
- Ability to work effectively within an MDT
