An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Community Mental Health Nurse to join the Perinatal team based at. The Archway, Boston & Elm Lodge,Grantham.The post is available for a qualified Mental health nurse, ideally with recent experience of working within Perinatal and/or a community mental health setting. The post is not suitable for newly qualified nurses.

There are currently 4 posts available within the team, this is to extend the Perinatal team further in relation to the NHS long term plan for Perinatal Services.

Experierence of working with women and their families in the Perinatal period would be desirable.

You will be working collaboratively with our established Perinatal team in developing and expanding the long term plan for Perinatal Services.
You will provide specialist mental health services to mothers, infants and families during the perinatal period; delivering specialist assessment, psychological interventions, advice, supervision and consultation as required. The role will include active involvement within the multi-disciplinary and development of the Perinatal Community Mental Health Team .

You must be able work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of LPFT policies and procedures.
Experience of community working would be desirable.

It is important to highlight that we are a countywide service and you could be expected to work in areas within the county, where there is an increased service need. Base will be discussed at interview.

You will be expected to work collaboratively alongside other teams and services who may also be involved in the care of our patients and their families. The service is delivered through a multi-disciplinary team who provide comprehensive assessment and treatment to pregnant women with a severe mental illness and in the first post-natal year, this will be shortly extended to 2 years for some women under the care of the Perinatal team.
