A recent restructure has created the need for new and exciting Senior Clinical Educator roles. These roles represent a career development opportunity for a highly experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) and Clinical Educator who has a proven record of training delivery within the academic arena. Under the leadership of the Deputy Programme Lead, this role will require the postholders to individual to drive various aspects of the Postgraduate / Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions (PGCertLIPI).

The postholders will hold an undergraduate degree and it is essential that they also hold a postgraduate (M level) qualification from an accredited PWP training course. Alongside this the applicant must hold or be working towards a professional teaching qualification.

Main duties of the job

The postholders will be responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of a cohort of trainees. This will include timetabling, all aspects of teaching delivery, formative and summative assessments and marking. This will require excellent communication skills to ensure that delivery is inline with other cohorts of trainees. The postholder will need to be abreast of local and national policy related to developments in the area of PWP practice.

The postholders will be keen to contribute to the development and expansion of PWP training in the West Midlands. This will require excellent communication and planning skills in order to drive collaboration with staff teams and services across the region. The postholders will be aiming to develop their own professional practice, assume responsibility for the management and co-ordination of both their own work and those they line manage.
