The Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Collaborative Programme are seeking a Mental Health Programme Lead and Clinical Lead to provide leadership in this priority area. This is a joint post with the ICS and Humber Teaching NHS FT, comprising of 3 days as the Mental Health Programme Manager, and 2 days as the clinical lead each week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring clinical leader to transform Mental Health services across HNY. This is an exciting and complex work programme, which includes a number of different areas, including community mental health transformation, SMI, IAPT and IPS. This is an excellent chance to develop your career and gain regional exposure working at a senior level.

This is an exciting time to join the ICS and be part of the ongoing development and progression of a system wide approach to transforming adult mental health services.

You will be also be working as the clinical lead for the Trust's community mental health transformation programme, working alongside clinicians to shape the future of community mental health provision.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a number of areas of adult mental health in line with the national long term plan.

The Programme Manager will work closely with mental health clinicians and professionals involved in service delivery, mental health commissioners, the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, health and local authority providers and a range of partners across the HNY Partnership (ICS). The post holder will also be required to liaise and work with the NHS England regional team and the Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Network as necessary.

The successful candidate will need to have the ability to manage multiple work streams within a fast- paced environment. They will be required to deliver to tight deadlines as well as understand some of the sensitivities in relation to the information that they handle and communicate as part of working within an ICS.

Person Specification Knowledge, Training and Experience Essential
  • Significant experience of working in a senior management position in a complex organisation.
  • Recognised clinical professional qualification.
  • Able to demonstrate examples of positive impact/change within a programme.

  • Experience of assessing the impact of new services or projects on vulnerable and/or hard to reach groups.
Communication skills Essential
  • Ability to communicate passionately, effectively, and persuasively across a diverse set of stakeholders; and able to create processes and structures to facilitate effective communication both internally and externally.
  • Able to prepare reports setting out information, its analysis and interpretation in a lucid and persuasive manner in the context of evidence.
