An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced psychologist looking to develop their leadership skills alongside their clinical practice. You will join the Southampton Division of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, based at College Keep, Southampton. We are a cohesive, supportive and friendly team with a wealth of clinical expertise including CBT, DBT, CAT, EMDR and psychodynamic approaches. We have good supervision structures and an excellent track record of CPD, as well as strong links with the University of Southampton and the University of Plymouth.

In this role, you will support the leadership of a team of psychological therapists working in community mental health services across Southampton. The role will involve management, supervision, consultation and training, alongside some time dedicated to clinical work. You will lead on psychology provision to one of the three community mental health teams in Southampton. You will also lead on the development of Clinical Associates in Psychology (CAPs) within community services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new model of working.

We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal, clinical, quality improvement and research skills. We are seeking candidates with experience of working with adults with a range of mental health difficulties, as well as experience of service development and consultation. Support will be available for the right candidate to develop their leadership and clinical skills. This may include mentoring, leadership training, or training in specific clinical skills such as CAT and EMDR, according to your needs.

The post-holder will primarily be based at College Keep, Southampton and will be managed by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist / Community Psychological Therapies Lead who is also based at College Keep. Flexible working arrangements are possible, including some remote working according to clinical need.

Part-time working and job share arrangements will be considered for the right applicant.

We are committed to equality of opportunity and keen to increase the diversity of our team.
