Trainee CBT-E practitioners – Adult Eating Disorders Service
Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust Eating Disorder service is going through a system wide mental health transformation programme in line with the Long-Term Plan (LTP). This expansion is planned to improve care delivery and parity of esteem between physical and mental health and ensure that everyone in Lincolnshire who is experiencing an eating disorder will receive a service. This is an exciting time to join the team when we are looking to expand our workforce and train more people to deliver eating disorder therapies across Lincolnshire.
We are looking to recruit 3 x trainee enhanced cognitive behaviour therapists (CBT-E), which is one of the most effective evidence-based treatments for eating disorders. These posts will ultimately work across the county aligned with primary care networks and associated GP practices, supporting clients with moderate eating disorders in their own community. This is a new development, and it will be an exciting time for the successful candidates to support the successful creation of these new pathways.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about supporting service users with an eating disorder to recover. Experience in this area is not essential as training and guidance will be given to develop your expertise in this area.
The training period is 2 years for trainees who are not CBT-E trained or 1 year for those who are CBT trained but need the additional year to complete the eating disorder specialism. During this training period you will attend Sheffield University one day a week, receive supervision from an experienced eating disorder professional and work with clients at both Steps2Change and the Eating Disorder Service to give you a broad spectrum of mental health presentations which is required during your CBT training period. On completion of training these roles will work with and supervise a band 5 Mental Health Wellbeing practitioner. You will be aligned to primary care networks in an allocated area and but will remain part of the specialist eating disorder service.
The roles will commence on the 3rd of January 2023 and is paid at a band 6 whilst training and band 7 on completion of CBT training. If candidates are already CBT trained, they will automatically receive band 7 pay. Interviews are currently scheduled for the 19th October 2022
