Band 5 Physiotherapist. Paediatrics

1.0 WTE : 37.5 hours per week

Have you an interest in paediatrics but have limited experience?

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified physiotherapist to develop their clinical and leadership skills within a friendly, supportive and expanding Paediatric physiotherapy team based in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent. This post offers the chance to manage a mixed caseload of children and young people with neurological, developmental and some musculoskeletal conditions, across both town and rural locations.

The team have bases in North and South Staffordshire and travel will be required based on service need. As a community team covering a large geographical area, access to a car for work purposes will be essential.

The post holder will be part of the team providing assessment and intervention for children and young people with physical difficulties aged 0-19 years. We work in partnership with families and carers in a variety of settings including special and mainstream schools, patient’s homes and community clinics.

You will be expected to use and develop your skills using a variety of approaches and treatment modalities and to work closely with colleagues in other disciplines in order to provide a child-centred, holistic approach to care. You will also participate in the development of other staff and of the service.

MPFT is committed to providing high quality care and offers staff learning and development opportunities in order to support them in achieving this goal. The paediatric Physiotherapy team continue to redesign services to improve quality and support innovative service delivery.

The paediatric physiotherapy service provides clinical placements for students from Keele University and the post holder will be supported to become a clinical educator as appropriate.

We would really welcome informal telephone enquiries or visits prior to interview. Please contact Sara Orr, Team lead on 07971 317845
