The West Staffordshire Crisis Home Treatment Team, based in Stafford, is a multi-disciplinary team which is operational 24/7, and provides a service to the population aged 16 and above residing in the West Staffordshire Locality.

The team provide an urgent response and a comprehensive Mental Health Assessment to people who are presenting in an acute Mental Health Crisis, and Home Treatment to those people requiring a period of short term intensive intervention.

The Team are looking to recruit an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), specialising in Mental Health to join their friendly, well established team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an innovative and forward thinking practitioner, who has the ability and clinical skills not only to work autonomously but to work alongside and support the clinical team. The team works in offering short term intensive intervention, Home Treatment, prevention of hospital admission.

The role will consist of direct clinical work, working alongside service users and their families as well as the multi-disciplinary team and wider partners, to offer strong clinical leadership particularly with managing Complex and challenging situations. We are looking for strong leadership, research and education skills in this role in line with the ACP competency framework.

The successful candidate will undertake the role of a Band 7 clinical lead on appointment, and will be committed to undertaking the ACP training at the earliest intake opportunity. Applications from candidates who have either already completed the ACP training or who are currently on the ACP training programme will be eligible to apply. Experience of working in a crisis home Treatment team is desired

This role is well established in our services and we offer clinical and professional supervision and development opportunities as well as a welcome to an active network of ACPs working in mental health settings
