Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to be offering this consultant post within the New Forest West Community Mental Health Team. The CMHT provides specialist advice and treatment to adults of working age with severe mental health problems within the mixed urban and rural population of Hampshire. We are a welcoming team consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, community mental health nurses, occupational therapists and admin colleagues. The team base is at Waterford House, New Milton, Hampshire.

We look forward to welcoming an enthusiastic and forward-looking consultant who will build on achievements of the service to date in order to provide even better outcomes for the population we serve. The post-holder will serve the needs of patients alongside one other highly supportive substantive consultant and a core trainee doctor.

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is a clinically led; managerially supported teaching trust. We have an active divisional academic programme; close links to the University of Southampton Medical School; iterative quality improvement programmes and many opportunities to pursue research interests though the Research and Development department.
