Specialist Grade Doctor in Old Age Psychiatry

based in North Warwickshire

Following service redesign Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT) invites applications for the role of Specialist Grade Doctor in Old Age Psychiatry.

Working within North Warwickshire this new full-time position is split between The Railings in Rugby and The Manor, Nuneaton.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will join a medical team of 3 Consultant psychiatrists and will be expected to work closely with the Multi-disciplinary Teams across three Integrated Practice Units (IPUs).

Their primary responsibility will be to provide medical and psychiatric assessment of patients over 65 years old with functional and organic conditions referred to the IPUs. Along with the assessment and treatment of routine patients, the post holder will also be expected to conduct some semi urgent reviews and Mental Health Act assessments of patients already open to the service.
