A role with the ward offers a great opportunity to gain broad acute experience and develop your personal and professional confidence in supporting a wide range of patients of differing levels of dependency. There are plenty of learning opportunities to help develop knowledge, skills and confidence surrounding all aspects of this area.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care.
To work closely with the ward manager, ward sister and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the ward environment.
To carry out all relevant forms of care under supervision and when proficient demonstrate procedures of care supervise unqualified staff including student nurses whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
