We have an exciting 12-month fixed term (maternity cover) opportunity for a motivated and highly experienced Physiotherapist to lead our dynamic Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The post is 37.5 hours a week based at our Hampstead site.

The job involves a dynamic mix of clinical, service development and management responsibilities. You will work closely with the Consultants team in complex pelvic floor and vulval clinic, working as an advanced clinical practitioner. You will also maintain a departmental caseload of complex pelvic floor dysfunction for patients, referred by Urogynaecology, Vulval, Colo-rectal, Pain and Urology departments.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will lead our established Pelvic Health Physiotherapy team, consisting of 3x band 7 physiotherapists, 1x band 6 physiotherapist and a band 4 therapy assistant working across outpatient and inpatient obstetric settings. We are looking for someone with advanced clinical skills who will feel confident to competently manage these complex caseloads whilst leading, supporting and developing the Pelvic Health team and service. You will take responsibility for maintaining excellent clinical outcomes within the team and ensuring clinical governance, audit, risk management and staff management are in keeping with professional standards and trust policies.

You will be involved in student teaching at both BSc and MSc level and you will also provide training for other members of the MDT (doctors, midwives, nurses and other therapists).

Applicants must have substantial Band 7 experience in Pelvic Health, including team management, significant post-graduate experience in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy and evidence of post-graduate training at Masters level in the field of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. Evidence of a commitment to continuing professional development is essential.
