Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential

• Specialist expertise, underpinned by theory and practical experience acquired through diploma/ degree/post graduate study
• Up to date knowledge and awareness of professional issues

Qualifications

Essential

• DCR or BSc (Hons Radiography)
• Evidence of further study

Desirable

• Management qualification

Training

Essential

• Broad training in general radiography to include A& E, orthopaedic and theatre work
• This may be supplemented by short courses + CPD

Desirable

• IT skills
• Teaching qualification

Experience

Essential

• Supervisory experience
• Teaching skills
• Significant NHS experience of working at a Band 6 level. This may be supplemented by short courses + CPD.
