A full-time, fixed term opportunity has arisen to provide clinical support for the specialist dietitians undertaking dietetic led clinical research within the dietetic department at The Royal Surrey Hospital.

We are looking for somebody with an interest in oncology and surgery who has good rapport with patients and staff and takes pride in providing an efficient and effective dietetic service.

The Dietetic Department at The Royal Surrey Hospital has an active audit and research culture, promoting clinical effectiveness in patient care. You will join a forward thinking and innovative dietetic team, which undertakes the training of A, B and C placement students, and is involved in teaching at the University of Surrey as well as supporting students with dissertation projects. This is an excellent opportunity in a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally.

If you are an HCPC registered dietitian with some dietetic experience and a strong interest in surgery and oncology, looking for an opportunity to develop new skills within a friendly and supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

This is a fixed term / secondment post to cover maternity leave.

Main duties of the job

Whilst working alongside our team of specialist dietitians, you will need to be prepared to have a flexible and adaptable approach with managing the clinical caseload as this may vary depending on the research demands. We will be expecting you to provide high quality nutritional care to general oncology and surgical Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) inpatients and outpatients. In addition to your clinical caseload, this post is an opportunity to get involved in dietetic clinical research projects.
