The Head of Nursing for Care Group 2 will provide expert objective nursing leadership across the Care Group, supporting patient safety and care, supporting the delivery of high quality care throughout surgical specialities. This includes both elective and non-elective care. This role, along with the Care Group Director and General Manager will be required to work closely together to lead the surgical teams, transforming and delivering surgical services to the people of Rotherham. Main duties of the job

As the Head of Nursing for our surgical Care Group you will: Work as part of the Care Group 2 Triumvirate to manage the Care Group. Support the General Manager in delivering services within a robust financial management model, including the delivery of both local and Trust-wide cost improvement initiatives Ensure that all relevant quality and performance standards are consistently achieved Ensure the provision and strategic development of a modern, patient-focused service Provide a visible senior management presence to all services within the Care Group. Work with the Chief Nurse and other Executive colleagues to deliver the Trusts corporate objectives and reflect the Trusts core values Support and take part in the Silver Command On Call Rota
