A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic Band 7 Occupational Therapy Team Lead to join and lead our Adult Mental Health Occupational Therapy services. The role involves working across Gwynedd and Anglesey. You will be working under the clinical and operational management of the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist for mental health in West. The post holder will be required to work at an advanced level of practice, completing assessments, interventions and rehabilitation programmes to aid recovery and maintain skills. Alongside clinical work you will operationally manage and lead the Occupational Therapy staff working in both Learning Disability Services, and Inpatient/Community adult mental health services. . You will need to have experience of leading/managing/supervising staff, along with experience of leading projects and developing services.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking to appoint a motivated and compassionate leader with demonstrable experience in mental health services. You must be able to demonstrate highly specialist clinical and leadership skills and will have excellent organisational and time management skills in order to manage a complex caseload and develop innovative services that support local and national service priorities.
You will be able to initiate and implement service changes whilst supporting the development of the team through supervision and appraisal. Excellent communication skills will be required to forge effective working relationships, challenge current practice and develop innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
