Band 6 Rehabilitation Rotation
Full Time 37.5 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity become available within our Specialist Band 6 Rehabilitation Rotations.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, and dynamic physiotherapist who is able to work effectively and flexibly as part of a Multidisciplinary Team in a Rehabilitation Setting.
We offer 7 Specialty Rotations working across both the Acute and Community Services of Manchester University Foundation Trust (South Locality).
The Rotations are 8 months and the Clinical areas covered are The Stroke Unit, Early Supported Discharge Stroke Team, Outreach Rehabilitation Service, Intermediate Care, Community Neuro Rehab, Community Falls Team and Day Hospital Specialist Clinics for older people.
The departments are committed to CPD and moving the Governments' initiatives forward. Applicants must have a broad range of post graduate experience.

Main duties of the job
- To help deliver a comprehensive physiotherapy service to patients in the area of specialty that you are working in.
- To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with a diverse and often complex presentation. You will require excellent clinical reasoning to develop and deliver individual treatment programs and plan appropriate discharges, and be able to prioritise to clinical need.
- To be responsible for organising and managing your own caseload to meet service need and patient priorities.
- Be able to support, appraise and educate more junior staff, rehabilitation assistants and students.
- Support your team leaders and deputise as required.
- To have excellent communication skills with patients, relatives and be able to show empathy and understanding
- Work as part of the therapy team and wider MDT demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Maintain Confidentiality, dignity and professionalism at all times.
- To participate in the weekend and On call rotas as departmental policy
- To maintain your professional standards of practice and codes of conduct and ensure any staff under your supervision maintain these as well.
